"Suicide Approach Training for School Psychological Counselors", which we organized with Bursa Yıldırım Guidance and Research Center, was carried out by Dr. Şengül İlkay and Psychologist Rumeysa Yıldız, one of our researchers at the Life Health Foundation Contextual Behavioral Sciences Center.
The training was designed to help school counselors effectively intervene in challenging situations such as suicide.
The training included recognizing the risk factors and warning signs of suicide, understanding the functions of suicide, what to do when faced with suicide situations in schools, and how to deal with the difficulties that are likely to be experienced when working with students with suicidal thoughts.
The training allowed psychological counselors to exchange information interactively.
