PSYCHOSIS RESEARCH

PSİKOZ ARAŞTIRMALARI
Psychotic disorders occur especially during adolescence and young adulthood and significantly affect individuals' mental and physical health and functionality. We have very limited information on why and how psychotic disorders, which have social consequences and negative effects on diagnosed people and their relatives, occur. However, there are questions about the effectiveness of current treatments and their effects on functionality, and questions about how we can effectively treat psychosis remain up-to-date.
This program aims to develop projects to understand psychotic experiences, to identify causing and maintaining factors of psychotic disorders and to investigate how to treat effectively. The areas we aim to work in this direction are:
• Phenomenology and psychopathology of psychotic experiences
• Identification of risk and protective factors for psychosis and development of preventive interventions
• Development of psychological and psychosocial interventions
• Development and implementation of Early Intervention of Psychosis (EIP) services
