Assoc. Dr. K. Fatih Yavuz
Assoc. Dr. K. Fatih Yavuz
Assoc. Dr. K. Fatih Yavuz is from Trabzon-Çaykaralı. He completed his medical education at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine (2002), and his psychiatry residency at MoH Ankara Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt Training and Research Hospital (2010). Between 2010-2019, he worked as a chief assistant at the SB Bakırköy Mazhar Osman Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Training and Research Hospital.
He became an associate professor of psychiatry in 2018. He is currently a faculty member at the Department of Psychology at Istanbul Medipol University. In the first years of her psychiatry education, she worked on Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy approaches and was certified as a Cognitive Therapist by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy (USA) in 2011 and as a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist by EABCT in 2017. In the same period, she worked on systemic and structural family therapy theories. Concentrating his work on emotion and trans-diagnostic processes during this period, Dr. Since 2010, Yavuz has turned his focus entirely to the new generation cognitive-behavioral therapies, especially Relational Framework Theory and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Dr.Yavuz, founding member of Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapies Association (2010) and co-founder of Bakırköy Research and Advanced Education Center Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies working group (BARILEM-BDT) (2012); He is the founding president of the Contextual Behavioral Sciences Association (USA) Turkey Representation (2013), which represents the ACT approach in the world, and the founding president of the Contextual Sciences and Psychotherapies Association (2016). Since 2015, he has been the editor-in-chief of Litera Publishing psychology books. Dr. Yavuz has translated nearly 20 works into Turkish as a translation editor, has been a chapter writer in many works and has published more than 50 scientific articles. He still conducts scientific research in the fields of philosophical and theoretical backgrounds of psychology and psychiatry, psychopathology, cognition-language-behavioral relations, virtual reality and the use of new technologies in behavioral sciences. Continuing his activities as therapist, educator and supervisor with the ACT approach, Dr. Yavuz is married and has two children.

Dr. Ahmet Nalbant
Dr. Ahmet Nalbant
He started his psychiatry residency training in Istanbul Bakırköy Psychiatric and Neurological Diseases Hospital in 2012. At the beginning of his specialization training, Assoc. Dr. As a student of K. Fatih Yavuz, he started his education and studies in Acceptance and Determination Therapy. During her education, she received various trainings and supervisions from many prominent names in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy such as Steven C. Hayes, Kelly Wilson, Niklas Törneke, Louise McHugh, Matthieu Villatte, Kirk Strosahl. In 2016, she won the Research Development Award, organized by the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS), the center for the worldwide organization of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. He is a member of the team that works to popularize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy both scientifically and practically in Turkey, and carries out its activities under the umbrella of "Contextual Sciences and Psychotherapies Association". In this direction, in addition to activities such as training, supervision and organization of congresses about Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in Turkey, it continues to take part in processes such as scientific research and the translation of basic resources into Turkish.
Dr. Merve Terzioğlu
Dr. Merve Terzioğlu
Dr. Merve Terzioğlu was born in 1988 in Istanbul. He completed his medical education at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (2012), and his psychiatry specialization education at Bakırköy Prof. Dr. He graduated from Mazhar Osman Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Training and Research Hospital (2019). He worked as a psychiatrist at Rize Kaçkar State Hospital between 2019-2021.
Working on Behaviorism, Functional Contextualism, Relational Framework Theory and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approaches since the first years of his psychiatry education, Dr. Terzioğlu still continues his therapist, education and research activities within the framework of these approaches. He takes an active role in Turkey Representative of Contextual Sciences and Psychotherapies Association and Association of Contextual Behavioral Science (USA). Dr. Şengül İlkay
Dr. Şengül İlkay
Şengül İlkay is from Niğde-Bor. He completed his medical education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine (2011). He completed his psychiatry specialization training in Bakırköy Prof. Dr. He graduated from Mazhar Osman Mental Health and Diseases Training and Research Hospital and became a specialist doctor in 2017. After receiving his specialization, he started to work at Aksaray Training and Research Hospital in 2018 for his compulsory service and continued to work at the same hospital after his compulsory service was over. He left his duty in Aksaray in 2022 and settled in Istanbul and started to work at the Contextual Behavioral Sciences Center. She became interested in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) during her residency training. He still works as a therapist and teaches with the ACT approach. He is one of the founding members of the Contextual Sciences and Psychotherapies Association (2016) and the current president of the Association of Contextual Behavioral Science (Association of Contextual Behavioral Science, USA) Turkey. Suicide, psychological difficulties experienced by young people, loss & grief and chronic pain are her special interests and she continues to work in these areas. It attaches importance to preventive mental health studies and strives to reach more people by doing research in this field and producing new technologies.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erol Yıldırım
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erol Yıldırım
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erol Yıldırım completed his Undergraduate, Master's, and Doctoral education at Istanbul University. After his psychology undergraduate, he completed a Master's degree in Clinical Cognitive Neuroscience and a Ph.D. in Forensic Sciences, where he studied brain electrical activity during memory tasks in healthy individuals. He worked as a psychologist at the Forensic Medicine Institution for a considerable period. He conducted personality, intelligence, and neuropsychological evaluations of forensic cases. After completing his doctorate, he transitioned to university as a faculty member. He is currently a faculty member at Istanbul Medipol University, where he is the founder of the Psychology Department ,and he is conducting his research as a team leader in the Cognitive-Emotional Neuroscience Research Laboratory. Dr. Yıldırım who is specialized in neuropsychological evaluation of individuals with brain damage trains students, provides supervision, and conducts research on adapting or developing neuropsychological tests that are needed in Turkey. As the leader of the fINCAN Laboratory, he conducts research using EEG, fNIRS, Eye Tracking, and tDCS techniques and methods.

Clinical Psychologist Seher Cömertoğlu
Clinical Psychologist Seher Cömertoğlu
She completed her Psychology and Sociology (double major) education at Istanbul Commerce University (with a scholarship) (2017). She completed her MSc in Clinical Psychology with her thesis on Anxiety Disorder at Istanbul Medipol University (2020). He completed his clinical internship of both undergraduate and graduate education in Bakırköy Prof. Dr. He did it at Mazhar Osman Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Training and Research Hospital. He also volunteered in the psychosocial support team of various non-governmental organizations (Earth Doctors, Ruhsak, Kaçuv) throughout his education life. During this period, he acted as a manager (president, vice-president) in some of the various student clubs (Young Volunteers, Culture and Literature, Photography and Travel) in which he took an active role.
He worked as a Psychologist-Team Leader at Istanbul Medipol University Psychological Counseling Unit for 3 years. He left this duty in 2022 and started to work at the Contextual Behavioral Sciences Center (BAGDAM). He is a member of the Contextual Sciences and Psychotherapies Association (TÜRBAD) and served as the student representative at the Association of Contextual Behavioral Science (USA) Turkey Representative. He is currently continuing his PhD in Clinical Psychology at Hasan Kalyoncu University.
Since her undergraduate education, she has been interested in Behaviorism and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). He participated in various trainings and congresses held in this field at home and abroad. He is currently an ACT psychotherapist and teaches in this field at the Association for Contextual Sciences and Psychotherapies. Anxiety disorders, depression and psychological difficulties experienced during the developmental period are of special interest. It is important to develop new preventive and therapeutic interventions by conducting research in these areas and to make meaningful contributions to humanity and its country.

Dr. Sevinç Ulusoy is from Burdur. He completed his medical education at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (2008); psychiatry residency training in Bakırköy Prof. Dr. He graduated from Mazhar Osman Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Training and Research Hospital (2014). After fulfilling his public service obligation as a specialist doctor at Elazig Mental Health and Diseases Hospital between 2014-2016, he worked with Bakırköy Prof. Dr. He was appointed to Mazhar Osman Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Training and Research Hospital and is currently working as a psychiatrist at the same hospital. He has worked on Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy approaches since the first years of his psychiatry education, focusing on emotion, affective disorders, stigma and transdiagnostic processes, etc. conducted research in the fields. After completing her Cognitive Behavioral Therapy theoretical and supervisory training, she turned to the new generation cognitive-behavioral therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as of 2013. He was the chairman of the Association of Contextual Behavioral Science (USA) Turkey representation between 2015-2017, which represents the ACT approach in our country. Ulusoy is currently the vice president of the Contextual Sciences and Psychotherapies Association. In addition to her studies focusing on functional contextualism, affective disorders, trauma-related pathologies and grief, she also continues her therapist, educator and supervisory activities with the ACT approach.
Psych. Rumeysa Yıldız
Psych. Rumeysa Yıldız
Rumeysa Yıldız was born in 1997 in Burdur. She completed her psychology undergraduate education at Istanbul Medipol University (2020). He is currently continuing his postgraduate education in Clinical Psychology at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University. He completed his undergraduate education at Erenköy Psychiatric Hospital. He completed his undergraduate education at LÖSEV. During her undergraduate education, she voluntarily took part in the social responsibility project called "Let's Play". He took an active role in the Neuroscience workshop of the Future Science Platform for a year. He is a member of the Contextual Sciences and Psychotherapies Association. He works in the Financial Affairs position at the Association of Contextual Behavioral Science, USA. She completed the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Training given by the Contextual Sciences and Psychotherapies Association (TÜRBAD). He participated in Group Supervision Trainings given by the same association and is currently active in the Trauma and Grief Working Unit, which is the activity of the association. She is currently a therapist with the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy approach.

Havvanur Uysal was born in 1997 in Burdur. She completed her psychology undergraduate education at Istanbul Medipol University (2020). Şerife Önal graduated with honors from the Psychology (English) Department of Istanbul Medipol University in 2020. She has completed the theoretical phase of the Master's program in Clinical Psychology at Istanbul Medipol University, which she started in 2021, and she is currently in the process of writing her thesis.
During her undergraduate, she completed her clinical profession internship at Erenköy Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Training and Research Hospital, and her civil society internship at the Turkish Education Volunteers Foundation (TEGV). She worked as a research assistant in the study "Microaggression Towards Women Leadership" conducted by Dr. Uzay Dural Şenoğuz and contributed to the poster presentation at the 23rd National Psychology Students Congress at METU.
She was involved as a Project Guide in the TÜBİTAK 4004 project "Adaptation of Children to Nature and the City" conducted between 2017 and 2018. She is a member of the Turkish Psychologists Association. She served as a member of the Trauma, Disaster, and Crisis Unit of the Turkish Psychologists Association and completed the Trauma Volunteer Training provided by the association. She volunteered in activities planning and coordination within the Enstitü Fabrika Gender Equality Team. She graduated from the Psychology Department of Boğaziçi University in 2017. After graduating, she worked as a volunteer in epigenetics and social memory laboratories. She completed the Master's Program in Guidance and Psychological Counseling at Marmara University in 2022. She received Basic Training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) from the Turkey Association of Contextual Behavioral Sciences and Therapies. She supports her professional practice with group and individual supervision. She is a member of the Association of Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS) Turkey Representation. She has a special interest in the areas of language-cognition relationship, philosophy of mind, and history of psychology.

Edanur Gürbüz graduated as a full scholarship student from the Psychology Department (English) of Kadir Has University in 2020 with high honors and ranked third. In 2021, she started her Master's Program in Clinical Psychology at Istanbul Medipol University. She has completed her theoretical classes and supervision and she is currently in the process of writing her thesis.
During her undergraduate, she completed her internship at Çorlu Courthouse. Additionally, she has been involved in voluntary work at various non-governmental organizations. She actively participated in workshops for children in disadvantaged areas of cities such as Mardin, Erzurum and Kırklareli with the SosyalBen Foundation where she volunteered for 2 years. She also continued her voluntary work in Istanbul. She completed her Master’s internship at Erenköy Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Training and Research Hospital. At Istanbul Medipol University Psychological Counseling Center, she had sessions with clients under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Fatih Yavuz in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and under the supervision of Dr. Hande Gündoğan Sütüven in Psychodynamic Therapy. During her Master's Program, she provided voluntary counseling under supervision for students who are in the exam year at Bambu Voluntary Education Platform. She also continues to provide psychological support for students as an exam coach at Doping Hafıza.

Aleyna Güleryüz graduated as the first of faculty from the Psychology Department of Istanbul Medipol University in 2023. Shortly after, she is accepted for Master's program in Clinical Psychology at Istanbul Medipol University in 2023.
During her undergraduate, she completed her clinical profession internship at Bakırköy Prof. Dr. Mahsar Osman Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Training and Research Hospital, and her civil society internship at the Çorabada Tuzun Olsun Foundation. She is carrying out a scale development study under the consultancy of Prof. Dr. Kaasım Fatih Yavuz.
She is currently working as a scholar researcher in the trauma studies unit at the Cansağlığı Foundation Center for Contextual Behavioral Science.
During her undergraduate, she completed her clinical profession internship at Bakırköy Prof. Dr. Mahsar Osman Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Training and Research Hospital, and her civil society internship at the Çorabada Tuzun Olsun Foundation. Havva Ceren Esgibağ graduated from Istanbul Medipol University, Department of Psychology in 2023 with high honors. She started master's degree in Clinical Psychology at Haliç University in 2023.

Ayşe Esra Karakaya
Ayşe Esra Karakaya
Ayşe Esra Karakaya started her undergraduate studies in the Psychology Department at FSMVU in 2018 with a full scholarship and graduated in 2023. During her undergraduate years, she completed internships at a daycare center, Sakarya Training and Research Hospital (AMATEM, TRSM, psychiatry department), Medipol Mega Hospital Neurology Clinic, and EEG laboratory. She received BDT training at the Psychology Academy.
Throughout her undergraduate studies, she conducted research on topics such as time perception and emotional relation, intolerance to uncertainty, and career stress. She reinforced her academic experiences by presenting oral and poster presentations at various conferences. She worked as a research assistant at the 29 May University Social Cognition Laboratory, focusing on human behavior and the truth effect.
Her academic interests encompass psychosis, perception, cognition, and human behavior. She is currently continuing her education in the Clinical Psychology Master's program at FSMVU. From June 2023 onwards, she is a scholarship researcher at the Cansağlığı Foundation BAĞDAM, conducting research on psychosis.
